Final Fantasy - Several Tactics For PSP

For quite a while now, Final Fantasy has been considered as one of the best RPG games there is and the series is living up to that with the newest version which is Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions. Plus, it would be a vindication for the PSP as it has had games in the past that have the same non-realistic design, and it looks like FF Tactics is going to be an exception.

Not forgetting to mention that for this game, you'll be able to play two new character jobs: the Onion Knight and the Dark Knight. With the Onion Knight, you will be able to add to your strength while also compromising some of your other abilities. Meanwhile the Dark Knight will enable you to strike at your enemies and take magic points from them to increase your own. The second one is the Dark Knight, which permits you to whack your opponents; but if that isn't enough, you can always steal magic points to add up to your own and it will surely be an asset to your game.

As for the intricate plot line in Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, it has raised the experience to a whole new arena, and everything else will go smoothly. Those other jobs included in the game are quite a challenge, taking you through various levels of gameplay and a staggering 60 battle maps to complete.

Final Fantasy Tactics is any RPG fan's fantasy come true. To add more thrill to your gaming, you'll have more character jobs which will take you various of levels to master; but in the end, it should pay off knowing that you have 60 battle maps to explore. Aside from the two mentioned above, you'd have more character jobs available in FF Tactics.

And if you have played previous games from the series before, you might recognize some of the characters that will be appearing in War of the Lions. You might recognize some of the characters in this game as some of them are returning for War of the Lions, such as Balthier from Final Fantasy XII and Luso from FF Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire.

The latest off of the Final Fantasy series takes RPG gaming beyond anything fans have expected from the popular classic. And although there were few who were saddened by the fact that this game is more of an expansion rather than a remake in itself, that is not entirely considered a flaw. This makes things even more interesting as it has taken its leap from the basic premises of the game and infusing more flavor to it. If it's from Final Fantasy, you can be sure that it won't disappoint!

When it comes to the technical aspect of the game, role-playing has never been this exciting. And though you might experience longer loading times at some points in the game, it's not something to bother you at all. Meanwhile, the two-dimensional characters are sweet reminders of what there is to love about this game, and everything has just gotten better as the game turns portable. Plus, the action sequence and level of intensity just would not let up since the moment you draw that sword!

Also as a bonus feature, you can view mini-clips of important events during the game, making it possible for you to view when and how it all happened. The mini-clips were amazing, and because it was done by Akihiko Yoshida leaves nothing more to be said.

Because you can view some of the important events in this game - like the kidnapping of the princess, the memory of Ramza, Delita's reed whistle and destructive explosion of Fprt Zeakenden - you have the luxury of setting them up however you want to play it, so that the actual game can be even more exciting. And because this game is too exciting to be played alone, now you get to share some gaming time with your friend. So you can tag your friends along to join you in your battle, or compete against them to see which one will prevail in the Final Fantasy world!

PSP Game Review: Neopets: The Wand of Wishing

A lot of people may think that Neopets is a kid's game. It may
be aimed towards children, but adults are like the Neopets games
as well. Neopets: The Wand of Wishing is the first Neopets game
on the PSP.

The Neopets brand used to only be an online site where you could
raise and create fantasy pets called "neopets" or "petpets". In
the website game your pet is able to participate in battles, go
on quests, and play mini-games to get things to upgrade their
stats.

The PSP version of this game is a lot like the online version.
You can choose your clothing and weapons, talk with the
villagers to acquire quests, visit the multiple dungeons around
the game, and upgrade your pet by training him. You can also
fight in the battledome against computer characters or with
wi-fi with other players.

The PSP version of this game is a hack and slash type role
playing game, which is actually my favorite kind. The game is
similar to most other role playing games. The map in the game is
broken up into different sections of settlements, jungles, and
dungeons. In the settlements you will find shops to buy weapons
and clothing/armor, you will also find other petpets that you
can talk to in order to get more of the story. Some of the
petpets will give you a quest when you speak with them. In the
jungles and dungeons is where you do all of your fighting. There
are many fun types of monsters you will be up against. When
fighting you will use the X button for hand to hand attacks and
the triangle button for long rage magic attacks. You can also
use the select button to access any weapons or spells your
petpet is carrying. In this game once you have killed a monster
it stays dead, they don't just come back to life once you leave
the room, I think this is another good feature for this game.

Unfortunately this game has a little bit of a lag. When you push
a button or move the "joystick" it takes a second before the
action is actually performed. Sometimes it gets in the way when
you are trying to fight. This is only really a problem toward
the beginning of the game. Once your character is more developed
and has better weapons the lag doesn't really have much of an
effect on your battles, because you can do more damage and you
take much less damage.

Upgrading your character is a little different in this game then
in other role playing type games. This is not an experience
based leveling system which is popular in role playing games. In
Neopets, when you kill a monster you get neopoints and items.
You use the neopoints to enter the battledome. In order to
upgrade your petpets attributes you must win in these battledome
matches. These can cost anywhere from 250 to 50,000 neopoints.
The sad thing is that you don't get the points back if you lose
the match.

You can also upgrade your your character by catching and
collecting little "petpetpets"...(try to say that 10 times
fast). In order to catch them you have to locate them, and then
decide what kind of food you think it will eat. You lay the food
in front of them, and if it is the right kind of food then your
petpetpet will eat it all and get so full that it can't move.
Then you pick it up and it is yours. Once you have caught your
petpetpet you can equip it just like you would your weapon or
clothing. Each petpetpet will give you certain extra attributes.
The only thing is that you can only have one equipped at a time.

You will notice that there is a lot of upgrading that needs to
be done as you start to explore new areas in this game. When you
enter a new area all of the monsters are going to be stronger
than your petpet. You have to catch up by visiting the shops for
new armor and weapons, visiting the battledome to increase your
attributes, and you will also have to visit the local trainer.

The graphics in this game are very fun, it will be very familiar
to those who have played with Neopets online. The audio isn't
anything to special. I really enjoy the way the enemies interact
when you are fighting them. They don't just stand in one place
while you hit them, when you hit them they fly backwards, it is
actually kind of funny to watch. The only part of the audio that
stuck out in my mind is in the jungle part of the game you hear
crickets and waterfalls that actually sound realistic.

If you are a role-playing game fanatic this game may not be for
you. If you love Neopets then you will love this game. It is
also a good PSP title for the younger players. I really enjoyed
this game because I love the Neopets website. I think you will
enjoy it too. I would give this game 7 out of 10.

Top PSP game review: Prince of Persia Rival Swords

One of the to PSP games around right now is an
action-packed hack and slash RPG--Prince of Persia: Rival
Swords. This is the conclusion to the Sand of Time trilogy. Here
the return home of our hero doesn't go as planned. Instead of
kicking back and romancing the Empress of Time, he blinks to
find the whole of Babylon on fire, an enemy he had already
defeated returned (and immortal at that), and a madman putting
up bizarre elevators all over his city. If it doesn't have a
weird source of conflict that translates into engaging action,
it can't be one of the top PSP games.

Anyway, it turns out that the use of magic to interfere with
time and space translates into plain interference, which means
future events get screwed. Rescuing the Empress from her destiny
in Warriors Within, our hero has managed to screw up the
consequences of what he did in the trilogy first game. Nice,
right? Gives you more of the same formula to work on. The
solution of course is team up with an old buddy and be a nimble
webless wall jumper, while wielding a whoa double
sword--something our Prince just happens to be good at. Hey,
it's a top PSP game. Don't argue.

Right. The review. The good stuff is that the action and
adventure maintains its hold on the player. Nice and engaging.
There's a lot of very smooth and intuitive transition between
platforms, fights, and narration. Graphics are impressive if you
consider that this is the portable format. Oh yeah, there are
some bonus material that jives things up. You'll see. Top PSP
game, like I said.

The bad stuff is nothing compared to the good, but we mention
them just the same. Sound hiccups happen all the time. You get
used to it though, so that Prince of Persia: Rival Swords, keeps
you glued to your handheld, making it a top PSP
game among the current releases.

Get music for the PSP Turn your favorite music into digital
files or download MP3 files from the Internet. The PSP will only
play songs that are in MP3 format. Rip music from your favorite
CDs onto your computer. Download and install the free Firefox
web browser for better surfing and download. Download some MP3
songs off of the Internet. Use Sony Image Converter or any of
hundreds of other converter programs to convert the files to MP3
format.

Connect your PSP to the computer Take your USB 2.0 cable and
plug it into your PC and PSP. Press the home button on the PSP.
Use the left and right directional buttons to find Settings. Use
the up and down buttons on your PSP to find USB Connection.
Press the X button on your PSP to display USB Connection Your
computer will tell you a new USB device has been connected,
which will show up as a new hard drive with a corresponding
letter identifier. Depending on the number of device and
configuration of your computer in all likelihood this letter
will be E:, F: or H:, but what the letter is doesn't matter so
long as you have the right letter.

Copy music to the PSP On your computer select the correct drive
letter and open the PSP file system. Create a new folder and
call it PSP(or what you want to call it). Open the new folder
and navigate inside. Create another folder and call it Music(or
what you want to call it. Use you computer to copy your MP3
files into the music folder. Press the O button on the PSP to
disconnect from your computer. Unplug the USB cable.

Play music on the PSP Use the left and right arrow keys on the
PSP to find the music area. Use the up and down arrows to find
Memory Stick. Chose that folder by pressing the X button. You
should see all the music files you have just transfered to the
PSP.

Alternatively Flip the switch on the left hand side of your PSP.
This WLAN Switch this enables you to go online. If you havent
already set up a thing to go online, it's easy. Go to your menu
and scroll all the way to the right at the end go down where
your web browser or internet is and press that. Just mess with
the connection controls and you can get a perfect connection. Go
to www.MP3Realm.org This will bring you to a website. You can
search for any music and download it for free in about 10 secs.
It saves it to your PSP music folder.

Very important tips - I am using a psp with firmware version
3.5, I would assume the process is the same for all versions.
Most PSP's are equippped with a 1 Gigabyte memory card, with no
other data on the card this can hold up to about 200 songs.

can watch videos and listen to music on it too. Videos for your
PSP come either on a Universal Media Disk (UMD) or a Memory
Stick Duo that has video data stored on it. Here are some simple
steps to follow.

What you require: Sony PSP Videos in UMD format or loaded on a
Memory Stick

Press the "Home" button to open the Home menu then select the
"Movie" icon. Insert a UMD or Memory Stick Duo into the
appropriate slot on your PSP. Wait until the icon for the media
is displayed on the screen. Select the icon. If you have several
different items on the Memory Stick, press the left arrow button
to choose among the different items.

Press the "X" button once you have selected the file you want to
play.

Important advice

One 32 megabyte Memory Stick Duo is included with your PSP, and
you can also purchase extra sticks to expand your data storage
capability. Videos on a Memory Stick Duo must be in MPEG-4
format. You can transfer files from your PC to a Memory Stick
Duo using a USB cable to connect the two devices, or by
purchasing a Memory Stick adaptor that will allow you to connect
your Memory Stick directly to your computer. When inserting a
UMD or Memory Stick, make sure you don't touch the connector
with any metal object or with your hand. This can cause data

STEP 1: CONNECT YOUR PSP TO PC

The PSP can function as a USB Memory Stick Duo reader. Using
this functionality, you can copy pictures, audio, and other
content to and from your Memory Stick Duo. To access the Memory
Stick Duo in your PSP from your PC, you'll need a USB cable that
has a "Mini-B" connector (common for digital cameras) and a
"Standard-A" connector (common for printers, etc). Plug the
Mini-B side into the top of your PSP and the Standard-A side
into your PC. From the PSP software, navigate to the top of the
settings list and select "USB Connection." Your PC
(Windows/Mac/Linux) should detect a new "Removable Disk Drive"

you'll have to format it. When you format your memory stick, the
formatting will create a set of new folders on your PSP: GAME,
MUSIC, PHOTO, and SAVEDATA.

STEP 3: EXTRACT THE SAVED GAME

This process will greatly depend on which software you use to
extract zip files. WinRAR for instance offers the "extract here"
option, which will simply extract the contents of a zip file to
it's current directory.

STEP 4: TRANSFER SAVE GAME TO "SAVEDATA" FOLDER

Just copy the folder you have just extracted, and paste it into
the PSP's "SAVEDATA" folder. But, BEWARE!, to any folder
overwrite warnings! Because the PSP save game folders use the
same names for the same games, copying folders into these
locations could lead to lost data. For this reason, we recommend
that you backup your old save games before overwriting them. For
Example, I would simply rename a folder like "ULPS0004" to
"ULPS0004_backup."

STEP 5: EXIT USB MODE

Because your PSP has been in USB Mode throughout this process,
just push X to exit. Then you can safely disconnect your PSP
from your PC.

STEP 6: VERIFY TRANSFER OF SAVE DATA

To verify the integrity of the SAVE GAME data you have just
transferred, use the PSP's built-in Save Data Utility. Select it
from the "Game" menu.

That's it, simple and smooth.
